From the very beginning, Baria Bulk Terminal has been built on the foundation of trust and quality. We believe in delivering only high quality materials, and that good quality equals higher efficiency and performance. As such, we select only renowned international sources and implemented vigorous quality checkpoints throughout the process for each of our products. Inconsistencies will go through re-processing until we are confident of the product quality for delivery.

Safety First

Fulfilling OHSAS 18001:2017 compliance, our ultimate commitment has always been zero accidents, in and out of the terminal. We make sure that all our operations are carried out carefully but efficiently.

At Baria Bulk Terminal, our most important responsibility is to ensure the safety of all our employees. Safety starts with the individual, therefore all personnel have received compulsory safety training before starting operations in our terminal. We have a designated Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) team whose role is to focus on risk mitigation and safety improvement across all our terminal activities, and a separate team for transport and road safety that focuses on outside the terminal activities regarding product delivery.

Baria Bulk Terminal is OHSAS 45001:2018 certified (Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series), and has also implemented a HIRADC system (Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Determining Control) to ensure that all personnel has a clear understanding towards the importance of safety. Each year, we have an annual Safety Induction Day to refresh and update our employees of suggested measures for emergency situations, including emergency drills.

Indonesia is going through a nationwide developmental phase as the government pushes for more infrastructure projects across the archipelago. In addition to the construction of roads, harbors, airports, and bridges connecting major cities, Indonesia is also focusing on improving its maritime infrastructure. Budget allocation for infrastructure development has seen a sharp increase over the past few years, from Rp 256,1 Trillion in 2015 to Rp 415 Trillion in 2019 – an increase of a significant 62%.

In response to the national plan, Baria Bulk Terminal expanded its facilities in 2016 to increase our storage capacity to 65,000 metric tonnes. This allows for sizable shipments to and from our terminal, easing transport to outside Java Island reaching international waters. We also have a PLB (Pusat Logistik Berikat) facility in place, supporting the newly launched policy to increase logistics efficiency, ease import/export activities, and raw material availability across Indonesia.
